The gunite is then sealed and painted and ceramic tile may be laid. The entire process can take several months. New fiberglass pools are not only installed quicker, but cost much less. A hole is dug to accommodate the pool and the fiberglass pool is dropped in. A liner is then inserted and the pool can be filled with water immediately. The most inexpensive pool is an above-ground pool. You can generally purchase these for a few hundred dollars. They are set up with a steel or metal frame with a liner and exterior shell. Be sure to check your San Diego covenants and restrictions for your community as many neighborhoods have by-laws prohibiting above-ground pools.
